NBA trade rumors
Reported, not done. Everything here is buzz from late June and early July 2026 and can flip overnight, so treat single-source destinations with caution. We only list names backed by more than one outlet.
Stars on the market
James has told the Lakers he wants to play somewhere else in 2026–27. Golden State looks like the frontrunner and would slot him next to Curry, Green and Davis. Cleveland has been floated too, through a possible sign-and-trade.
Golden State chased Davis as part of the LeBron plan, but it looks dead. Washington isn’t listening, and the salary math would force the Warriors to throw Jimmy Butler into the deal.
Other buzz
Duren was reportedly underwhelmed by Detroit’s offer and wants around $40M a year. The Pistons say they’ll match anything and won’t do a sign-and-trade. His camp has met with the Kings and Lakers anyway.
Herro landed in Milwaukee in the Giannis trade, and he’s on an expiring deal. Expect the Bucks to keep taking calls as they reset. Detroit has already been linked to him.
Jokic hasn’t signed an extension, but he says he wants to stay in Denver long-term. The Nuggets will move almost anyone else. Cam Johnson and Aaron Gordon are the names drawing outside interest.
Detroit asked. Dallas said no. Irving stays next to Cooper Flagg.
Important free agent signings
- Norman Powell agreed to a two-year, $45 million deal with the Bulls.
- Quentin Grimes agreed to a four-year, $60 million deal with the Lakers.
- Kelly Oubre Jr. agreed to a $17 million deal with the Pacers.
- Dean Wade agreed to a four-year, $39 million deal with the 76ers.
- Moe Wagner agreed to a two-year, $19 million deal with the Nets.

Where did Kawhi Leonard get traded?
The LA Clippers traded Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors on June 30, 2026, in a reunion with the franchise he won the 2019 title with. The Clippers received Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two unprotected first-round picks (2031 and 2033), a 2027 first-round swap and two second-round picks. Toronto is expected to sign Leonard to an extension.
